The Hexagon Sound System

Mixing Desk
Yamaha M7 Ethersound model complete with 3 x SB168-ES Ethersound stage boxes each with 16 sends and 8 returns.

Outboard equipment
The M7 has built-in compression and gates on all inputs, plus up to 8 graphic equalisers and up to 4 effects units internally.

Flown P.A.
Consists of 2 clusters hung permanently below ceiling level 13 metres apart, each cluster consisting of an upper layer of four Turbosound TSE 111's, a middle layer of three Turbosound TSE 115's, and a lower layer of a further three Turbosound TSE 111's.

Arena P.A.
Consists of two stacks, one either side of stage, each consisting of two Turbosound TSE 218's one on top of the other, supporting two Turbosound TSE 111's. The on-stage P.A. is removed when not required.

The system is normally run in stereo. All amplifiers are Crest. 8001's driving the stage bass and sub-bass, 4001's otherwise. Separate Klark Technic DN 360 Dual 30 band one-third octave graphic equalisers are provided for flown P.A. and on-stage P.A. equalisation. A single Klark Technic DN 300 mono 30 band one-third octave graphic equaliser is provided for sub-bass equalisation. Loudspeaker management including crossovers comes from 3 XTA DP226. Graphics and crossovers are non-adjustable by outside personnel.

There are 4 ethersound tie-lines from prompt corner off stage left to the house mixer position in the balcony on auditorium right.

Monitors
There is a mobile amp rack containing 3 X MC Audio T1000 Amplifiers and an H/H VX 450. We have 6 Turbosound TMW 212 wedges, 2 turbosound TXD530's, 2 Bose panaray speakers for foldback, also 8 Ramsa A10's which can be used as pit monitors etc.
